ZamBasura No More: Hegayon Biodiversity and Lumad Interpreted

HEGAYON is a 2-day workshop targeting the Subanen youth which teaches them the importance of the mutualism between the environment and their roles as custodians. This was held in Karpok, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur on August 2 and 3, 2019.

“It was a success! Although Karpok, Lapuyan is classified as one of the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) in the Philippines, most of the kids in the area were very enthusiastic in studying. They were very participative throughout the event.” Project Leaders, PYLP16  Adrienne Natalie H. Ebillo and Jenalyn T. Lequin
