Community Organizer Andrew Van Gorp of DuPage County, Illinois will present on foundational principles for effective community organizing and culture shift that, once learned, can be applied anywhere on planet Earth. These empowering tools can lead to self-liberation/societal progress in an ever-changing world. Andrew will tie these strategies to real-world examples from the work his community does in DuPage County. After the presentation, we will tour our communal garden. A few Sustain DuPage organizers will be present to answer questions and discuss with the ways one might carry forward the experience of the day.
